Smokey Quartz is a semi precious stone.  It is the state of New Hampshire’s state gem.  It comes in colors ranging from nearly clear, through grays and dark browns and nearly black.  Smokey quart is a 7 on the Mohs Hardness Scale and can be found all over the world.
