Tanzanite

Tanzanite is only found in one place in the world,  Tanzania in a small mining area at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Tanzanite was formed 585 million years ago.  It was found in 1960 by Tiffany & co.  Tanzanite is said to be a thousand times more rare then Diamonds because the circumstances that it was formed under was so unlikely that finding it anywhere else on earth would be so incredible.

Tanzanite is sometimes used as December’s Birthstone

It is a 6-6.5 on Mohs hardness scale.

Value is remarkably low at this time from $300 - $600 per carat.
