Collection: Fluorite Crystals

Mined in China, Fluorite crystals are in the shape of an octahedron. These crystals come in many colors the most common being shades of purple. Colorless, black & pink are most rare.

Fluorite may also be found in yellow, orange, red, brown, green, white, blue, gray, the purest being colorless. They may exhibit an array of colors in zones or bands. The assortment of colors exist due to the presence of impurities during the crystal’s formation. When exposed to ultraviolet light fluorite typically glows. Fluorite has a hardness of 4 on Mohs hardness scale. Making it soft enough to carve. The Latin word for fluorite, fluere, means - to flow.  Although your Fluorite may not be an exact match to the ones in the pictures, due to the nature of it being hand made in addition to how these Raw Fluorites are formed, each one is handmade in our Lumina lab and will be matched as closely as possible to the photographs shown.
